Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Orlando Psychiatrist
Thank you for taking the time to explore this website and for considering entrusting me with your, or your children’s, psychiatric needs. I understand taking action towards finding a psychiatrist can be intimidating and, perhaps, overwhelming. This website is a way to introduce myself, my treatment philosophy and services, and resources that can help you make an informed decision.
My mission is to serve children, teenagers, and adults by providing experienced, compassionate, individualized psychiatric care that helps my patients achieve maximum wellbeing. My intention is to awaken the hope and belief in my patients that they can achieve improved mental health that leads to a more fulfilling life. I know how difficult it can be to acknowledge that life’s challenges are too much to handle. I am continuously humbled by my patients’ courage in facing their problems and asking for help. I am committed to being worthy of the trust and confidence my patients place in me.
I spent 4 years taking my son to various pediatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, and psychologists, plus countless school meetings. It was a frustrating, emotional, stressful, and tiring life, and my only goal was to find someone to help my child. My son didn’t seem to fit the typical mold of any diagnosis. He was a little of this and a little of that. I felt many doctors were only willing to spend 15 minutes with us and never cared enough to look deeper. I had all but given up hope until we found you. You listened, you cared, and you offered real suggestions. You helped us find the root of my son’s issues. I am thrilled to have a happy, successful boy who we can finally understand.
My daughter was having trouble in school and we were sent to see Dr. D. My husband and I were very concerned about how a psychiatrist would approach treating our child. After the first appointment, we realized Dr. D. is truly amazing. He is wonderful with my daughter and really takes the time to listen and get to know her. He’s not a pill pusher, but will obviously give suggestions. He never seems to judge or make us feel rushed. I actually brag about how lucky we were to have found Dr. D.
I came to Dr. D. at a critical point in my life. He took the time to listen and ask questions, and he validated my responses. He’s been in my corner for all the years that I’ve seen him. I always had a sense of serenity when I walked into his office. He is a gentle and caring soul—a man of great wisdom and I am grateful for his help.
